![]() The remake is targeting a release on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S. The Max Payne 1 & 2 remake will be a 2-in-1 release (one single title instead of two separate games) and is currently in the concept development stage, so still has yet to enter production, this is very early development. so i really wanted to re-play max payne 2, after downloading the game from piratebay, install the game, move crack to where game was installed and when i try to run the game nothing really happens, when i go to task manager 'processes' i see maxpayne2.exe running but the game isnt even in 'applications' tab and games not running. The scale of the remake development has been described to be “in line with a typical Remedy AAA-game production.” The remake of Max Payne 1 & 2 will be utilising Remedy’s in-house Northlight game engine, and the development budget is being financed by Rockstar. “We’re hugely excited to be working with our partners at Rockstar Games once again for the chance to bring the story, action and atmosphere of the original Max Payne games back to players in new ways.” “Max Payne has always held a special place in the hearts of everyone at Remedy, and we know the millions of fans worldwide feel the same,” said Remedy CEO, Tero Virtala. “We were thrilled when our long-time friends at Remedy approached us about remaking the original Max Payne games,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games “We are massive fans of the work the Remedy team has created over the years, and we can’t wait to play these new versions.” License right to the Max Payne IP is held by Rockstar Games, which did their own entry without Remedy by way of Max Payne 3. The Max Payne series, revolving around the titular character in a neo-noir story and a third-person shooter combat the popularised bullet time, was a big success that helped propelled Remedy to where they are today. I'm curious what others thought of it.Remedy Entertainment has announced that they are working on full remakes for Max Payne 1 and Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne. I don't regret buying it, it was fun enough, but memorable in the way some of the games mentioned above are? Not for me, at least. (Edit: I realise this has upset a few people, so please let me clarify! Personally I did not think GoW was significantly superior to AC Odyssey as kinda-sorta rpg action hybrid) To me, this game felt barely a step up from whatever Ubisofts latest copy paste open world was. Nothing in the game, in my opinion, came close to the writing and interactivity of Divinity 2, the living world of Red Dead 2, and incredibly memorable stories like the Bloody Baron of TW3. There was, in my mind, a lack of character development and personal motivations that is in some of the other games I've mentioned. The Witch for example, when compared to Yen from TW3 felt very generic. Some of the other characters were lacking too I felt. This child is a product of a hard world where daily survival is far from guaranteed, so why does he sound like he's a spoilt kid who spends his time playing mobile games after school? I think a communication style like Arya or Bran, or even Joffrey (minus the psychopathic tendencies) would have been much more immersive. Regularly saying "I think you killed it." and "duh" really didn't fit the game world at all. I felt how overly Americanised he was really sucked a lot of atmosphere from the game. But some of them were downright annoying. He was menacing, and felt crazy and arrogant in a way that I could imagine a god being. I really liked the guy that played Baldur. I found the puzzles were generic, tedious and served only really to make the game last longer than it needed it. The world was moderately interesting but only really because of the lore around the various gods and deities that exist outside of the franchise. The combat was pretty generic, certainly not as satisfying as games like Dark Souls. I thought it was fine, with a fairly repetitive fight, puzzle, cutscene loop that repeated for the entirety of the game.Īll of this is my opinion of course, I'm not making objective statements or trying to challenge those that love the game. I just finished GoW on PC and I'm a bit confused about what it is people loved about it so much, given it's frequently touted as 'The best game ever made', or at least one of the best of the last decade. ![]() ![]() Thought I'd get a few responses and see this disappear into the abyss. ![]() Thanks for the Gold - didn't expect this to be so popular.
